Thank you for visiting Sandy Radom Photography. While I had been photographing on and off for many years, in 1982, after attending a photographic workshop given by the late Fred Picker, my photographic life changed dramatically. Photography became my passion. I began photographing nature and creating landscape studies in black & white; using a large format field camera. I was truly consumed and energized by the process and the results I was achieving.
Over the years I have had the rare opportunity to attend workshops given by world-renowned photographers – Ansel Adams and John Sexton to name just a few.
In 2001 I became fascinated by the technique and capabilities of digital photography. For the first time, I am working with a new sense of freedom; concentrating on capturing the perfect image. I love being able to creatively control the entire process from camera to print. The ability to digitally migrate from color to black and white allows me to obtain the best possible image resulting in one that is both powerful and beautiful.
Recently, I started printing on canvas. The surface texture of the canvas adds a whole new dimension to my images. All of my images were captured using digital equipment and processed in my digital (dry) darkroom. All images are printed on archival paper or canvas using archival inks. Most of my images are for sale. Please see my ordering prints page for more information. And, of course, feel free to email me with your comments, suggestions or questions.
