Prints are made on an Epson 9800 printer using archival inks with an estimated life of 80+ years. Images are printed on glossy, semi gloss or matt paper depending on the image. White 4-ply 100% cotton mat board is used to mount non-canvas prints. A matching window mat is included. Prints are signed on the matt unless otherwise specified by the purchaser. Canvas prints are also available. Canvas prints are unframed using the Gallery Wrap technique. These prints maybe framed by the purchaser. A thin floating frame is sometimes used with canvas prints. This is a matter of taste. Canvas prints are coated with Timeless from Breathing Color, an art work protectant. Each piece of canvas artwork is protected against UV light and minor scratches. Print sizes are approximate and will vary slightly depending upon the size of the print ordered and how the print is cropped. Shipping is extra and depends on size and weight of the print. Pictures will be packed, insured and sent by FedEx. I can provide a quote for shipping after an order has been placed.
Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist’s canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured to the back of the wooden frame. The frame is usually 1.5″ thick. The result is the hardware used for securing the canvas is not visible on the sides. The sides of the canvas are prepared and primed in the same manner as the face. The image is then printed on the sides as a continuation of the image appearing on the face. The image on the sides is a reflection of the main image. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished print.
